GENG Fengxia

Biography

Fengxia Geng is a professor of College of Energy, Soochow Institute for Energy and Materials Innovations at Soochow University. She received her Ph.D. degree in Materials Science from University of Tsukuba. Prior to joining Soochow University, she has completed her post-doctoral research at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) followed by working as International Center for Young Scientist (ICYS) fellow. Her current research interest is on synthesizing and functionalizing of two-dimensional sheet materials, especially metal oxides and carbides. Her team put particular attention to the interlayer chemistry of layered structure to produce sheets with high-quality and high-yield. She serves as Associate Editor for Applied Physics Reviews of American Institute of Physics.
